The Country Neighbor was established in 1995. This former schoolhouse was used as a school from the 1870s until 1957. Today, our schoolhouse restaurant features fine country cooking, a 1950's soda fountain, garden room and porch, restaurant, and gift shop. We also are available for any type of catering job, large or small.
Location
The Country Neighbor Restaurant is located 2.8 miles from Elyria on Fort Hartsuff Road. After you arrive in Elyria on Highway 11, turn Northeast onto Fort Hartsuff Road. Continue on Fort Hartsuff Road for 2.8 miles, passing a river bridge, and you will find the Country Neighbor on the West side of the road.
